Forgotten Orchids – 4×6 (Recycled Earth Collection)

Description

This is part of a new collection called Recycled Earth. These pieces feature recycled paint from my studio, heavy texture and various odds and ends that speak to my magpie nature. I try to reused as many materials in my studio as possible, down to collecting dried paints. These steps towards creating a closed loop studio challenge me to become a better artist.

Forgotten Orchids is a small slice of landscape reflecting the impact of humans upon nature. The tenacity of florals always surprises me — they can thrive in the most adverse environments, while remaining fragile and ephemeral.
