About Copper Electroformed Jewelry

Electroforming is the process where metal is grown by electrodeposition onto a substrate. A electrolytic bath is used to deposit metal—in this case copper—onto a conductive surface using the electrical charge from a power supply.

Electroforming allows artists to create pieces with individual texture, copper formations and character. Each piece is totally unique, and as such cannot be exactly replicated. These pieces are made using natural materials by hand and are subject to imperfections and variations.

Wearing copper jewelry has numerous health benefits and humans have been wearing it as personal adornments for millennia. It is completely normal for copper to leave greenish hue on the skin. Copper will also naturally patina over time and can be polished to restore shine, or worn as-is.
